Teeth Whitening

One of the best things you can do to improve your smile is to whiten your teeth. Teeth whitening can remove stains that build up on your teeth and give you a dazzling smile. While there are at-home whitening kits sold in stores, professional teeth whitening is more effective and gives better results.

In-Office Teeth Whitening Treatments

We provide in-office whitening treatments that are faster than over-the-counter whitening products, while still being safe.  In fact, in-office whitening is the safest method because a dentist monitors it. Professional whitening products contain the strongest whitening agents available. The gums are protected by the application of a shield or gel, and then the bleaching agent is applied to the teeth in a thin layer. We use laser whitening, which speeds up the whitening process by directing a laser at the teeth.

When the process is finished, the mouth is rinsed, and the results can be seen immediately. Your desired level of whitening may be achieved in just one office visit. If more whitening is desired, a follow-up whitening appointment can be scheduled.

At-Home Teeth Whitening Treatments

We also offer whitening trays that can be used by our patients at home. These contain better whitening agents than store-purchased whitening products, but allow you to do a whitening treatment yourself in the privacy of your home.

Whitening treatments can remove stains caused by certain foods like coffee and wine; tobacco stains; and staining that comes naturally with age. It affects the teeth that show when you smile and works only on natural teeth. Whitening does not work on artificial teeth or teeth that have been treated with crowns or veneers. If you have some artificial and some natural teeth and would like a whiter smile, you could have a teeth whitening and a replacement of the artificial components to match the whiter color of your other teeth.
